Tennis is a demanding sport on the muscles and joints of the player’s body. The movement on the tennis court is start-and-stop with quick burst of sprints. The player has to run in all directions, laterally and backwards, and many times he needs to lunge or jump to hit a shot. It is extremely important for a tennis player to keep his body strong and flexible. Particularly the joints of the shoulder and hips should have maximum range of motion possible. To prevent future injuries, the tennis players should focus on minimizing the imbalances between the dominant and non-dominant side.
